Mr. Hellender joined Claremont in 2004 as Vice President for Business Development. Prior to joining Claremont, Mr. Hellender worked in executive positions for large managed health care companies for several decades. He is retired from the Kaiser Permanente organization where he held senior positions including Vice President and Health Plan Manager for the California Region, and Vice President, Government Programs in the national corporate office. Following his many years with Kaiser, Mr. Hellender joined the Aetna organization managing national account activities in the western states. In the two years prior to joining Claremont, Mr. Hellender worked for Magellan Behavioral Health overseeing their west coast operations. Mr. Hellender has extensive experience in marketing, strategic planning, business development and general management.
